The Howa M-1500 Models provide you with a three position safety. The safety is easy to operate and allows you to unload the rifle while it is still in safety mode. All Howa M-1500 bolt actions are drilled and tapped to accept one or two piece bases for the mounting of optics. The free-floating hammer forged barrel has no sights for a modern look and finish. The increased diameter of the barrel will result in increased weight and less recoil. Slower heating of the barrel will also take place during a succession of shots. As with all other Howa M-1500 models, the Howa Varmint model has a twist rate that is carefully selected for each individual caliber to optimize bullet performance and accuracy.

The Synthetic Hogue Overmoulded Rifle Stock comes with a durable, rubber recoil pad and sling swivel studs already mounted. The strategically placed Cobblestone texture on the grip and for-end ensures a positive grip when handling your rifle. The stock has aluminium pillars for increased stability when tightening down your actions screws giving you a solid point and preventing compression of the fiberglass skeleton and rubber overmould.
